Our first SolBizz workshop - Understanding Solar Business

We organised our first workshop of SOLBIZZ - "Understanding Solar Business" - taken by Prof. Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki, Mr. Bikash Kumar and Mr. G.J. Girase.

The workshop was majorly focused on:

1) Understanding the technology

2) Solar Business opportunities

3) Market analysis

4) Policy

5) Financials and legalities in the solar energy sector.

We have partnered with TechFest, IIT Bombay for a solar workshop

We are glad to announce our partnership with TechFest, IIT Bombay 2015 to conduct a solar workshop - "Solarizer"

kWatt Solutions and S-SparQ team has initiated this idea with a vision to make students solar smart. The student base and popularity of TechFest, IIT Bombay will ensure the wider PAN India reach in terms of spreading the awareness about solar energy throughout the country. 

Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, the pioneer in the solar energy field,  will be delivering a lecture and interacting with the workshop participants during the "Solarizer" workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to meet Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki in person and learn about solar energy technologies.

Our first Advanced Solar Workshop!

Hello folks!

We conducted our very first four day advanced solar workshop at IIT Bombay. Kudos to our S-SparQ team, especially our trainers Mr. Pavan Venkata, Mr. Mehul Patel and Mr. Pranav Maheshwari

Theory and Practical sessions were conducted on solar system design and an hands-on session on solar Arduino based solar instruments.

We were at IIT Gandhinagar !

Team kWatt Solutions was at IIT Gandhinagar displaying its unique set of solar products designed by the in-house R&D team.

The team even interacted with the Director of IIT Gandhinagar who showed immense interest in us!

We are creating "Suryamitras" with MNRE

In a major breakthrough in the Solar Skill Development domain, kWatt Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (kSPL) has been given the privilege to conduct the "Suryamitra Training Program” initiated by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). kSPL is now authorized by National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), MNRE, Govt. of India to conduct the skill development program to create and nurture skilled "Suryamitras" in installation, commissioning and O&M in the field of Solar Energy. 

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has initiated this program with the intent to create 50,000 “Suryamitras” across the country, skilled in installation, commissioning and O&M in the field of renewable energy with the special focus on solar. Each training program consists of 30 participants and the total duration of the training will be 3 months (600 hours) including a one month internship in solar energy related industry. The participants will also be given training on marketing & entrepreneurship skill so that they will become the campaigners of solar energy. MNRE has authorized green job sector skill council for assessment and certification of the participants. 

kSPL is founded by Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki, an IIT Bombay Professor in the Energy Science and Engineering department. Initiated in September 2013, kSPL is a technology-driven company with a vision to “solarize” the future of India and economize renewables. With the expertise of a strong core team comprising of IIT Bombay graduates, kSPL offers customized comprehensive solar energy solutions right from design and engineering to installation and maintenance with in-house training for people in the solar industry. kSPL was initiated with the idea to cater to the huge open market of power consumers in the kilowatt range, which also resonates with the company’s name. Currently, kSPL is working in several areas including S-SparQ, S-Life, and SRooftop covering the length and breadth of solar energy.

Talking about this achievement, Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki says “This is a proud and happy moment for us. Through our S-SparQ and S-Lab program initiatives, kSPL aims to be a leading commercial entity in the area of solar skill development and this authorization takes us a step closer to our aim. With this authorization, we look forward for creating solar skilled manpower and contribute our bit to achieve Prime Minister’s target of 100 GW of installed solar power by the year 2022.”
